League Rules & Expectations

Coach Responsibilities

Team Communication
Share practice days, times, and locations.
Communicate cancellations, make-ups, league updates, and other important information.
Practices
Select practice times and locations.
Plan drills and teach fundamentals and league rules.
Bring a basic first-aid kit to practices.
Supervision
Be responsible for players during all league activities.
Confirm players are picked up or have parent permission to leave.
Arrange appropriate adult coverage if you are absent.
Game Management
Rotate positions and create a simple game plan.
Provide equal playing time.
Keep the game area clean.
Help manage team spectators and players.
Reporting
Notify the Recreation Supervisor of unresolved player disputes.
Report team injuries.
Report players who choose not to participate.
Sportsmanship
Set a positive example for your team.
Treat referees, players, league staff, parents, and other coaches with respect at all times.
Team Items
Pick up and distribute team materials.
Distribute jerseys and any end-of-season trophies or medals.
League Knowledge
Learn and follow all league rules, policies, and procedures.
Use the TCH rule book as your primary resource for league rules and expectations.

TeamSideline Team Site: Coach Guide

Your TeamSideline Team Site is your central location for your team roster, schedule, practices, announcements, and team communication.

1. Sign In to TeamSideline

Go to The Community House TeamSideline website and click “Sign In.”

Use the same email address provided to The Community House for your coaching registration/team assignment.

If this is your first time using TeamSideline, follow the prompts to create or validate your account.

Important: If your team does not appear after signing in, you may be using a different email address than the one associated with your coaching assignment. Please contact The Community House for assistance.

2. Open Your Team Site

Once signed in, locate your team name and click on it to enter your Team Site.

Your Team Site will contain information specific to your team for the season.

3. View Your Team Roster

Open the Roster section to view the players assigned to your team.

Please remember that roster and family contact information is intended for team use only and should not be shared publicly.

If you believe a player is missing or incorrectly assigned, please contact The Community House. Do not independently add, remove, or move players between teams.

4. View Your Game Schedule

Your league game schedule will be connected to your Team Site.

Coaches and families can use the Team Site to view:

Game dates
Game times
Locations
Upcoming team events

Any official league schedule changes will be managed by The Community House.

5. Add Team Practices & Events

Coaches may use the Team Site to add team-specific events such as:

Practices
Team meetings
Picture information
End-of-season celebrations
Other team activities

When creating an event, include the date, time, location, and any instructions families need to know.

Please do not edit or replace official league games created by The Community House.

6. Communicate With Your Team

Use the Communication tools within your Team Site to send information to your team.

This is a great place to communicate:

Practice reminders
Arrival-time reminders
Team-specific updates
Weather-related practice changes
Equipment reminders
Other information families need for your team

Using TeamSideline helps keep team communication and information in one centralized location.

7. Use Attendance & Availability Features

TeamSideline events may include attendance or availability options.

When available, encourage families to indicate whether their child will be attending practices, games, or other team events. This can help you plan accordingly.

8. Encourage Parents to Access the Team Site

Parents should sign in using the email address associated with their child's registration.

Once logged in, families can access their team information, roster, schedule, events, and team communications.

Parents may also invite additional family members to access appropriate Team Site information.

9. Download the TeamSideline App

Coaches and parents may also use the TeamSideline app to access their Team Site from a mobile device.

Sign in using the same email address associated with your TeamSideline account.

Please contact The Community House rather than making changes to official league information yourself.

Coach Reminder

Your Team Site is a communication and organization tool for your assigned team. Official rosters, team placement, league schedules, rules, and league-wide decisions are managed by The Community House.

The Community House league philosophy focuses on participation, sportsmanship, learning the

fundamentals of the game and creating an atmosphere for all players to succeed.

Our league expectations are that everyone plays, everyone receives equal playing time, rotates positions, and no

players are cut from our program. The Community House believes that the adults involved in our

youth sports leagues are role models of sportsmanship, respect, and self-control. Every decision

made and behavior displayed should always be what is in the best interest of the young athletes

participating in our league. Players, coaches, parents, officials and staff are expected to continually

reinforce the attributes of sportsmanship, hard work, and positive thinking during the season.

Individuals who fail to comply with The Community House league rules and expectations

will be subject to disciplinary action. This includes but is not limited to the following order

or combinations as decided by the league and severity of the situation:

1. Verbal or written warning issued by league

2. Immediate ejection from game (by league or officials)

3. Suspended from game, or multiple games

4. Removal (as coach or spectator) from the league

Some disciplinary actions may follow from one league to the next or can span over multiple seasons

By participating in our league; all parents, coaches, and spectators are subject, but not limited to,

following our Parent/Coach Code of Conduct rules:

I will treat all league officials, coaches, spectators, and players with respect at every game or practice
I will encourage good sportsmanship and demonstrate positive support for coaches, officials, and players. I will do my best to ensure this is a positive experience for my child.
I will not engage in or encourage any unsportsmanlike conduct with coaches, officials, spectators, or players. This includes: foul language/gestures, taunting, booing, refusing to shake hands, etc.
I will not engage in or encourage any behavior that endangers the safety or well-being of any coaches, officials, spectators, or players.
I will not verbally threaten or physically abuse any coaches, officials, spectators, or players.
I will respect the officials and their authority during games. I will refrain from yelling at or forcefully confronting officials. I understand officials are there to provide a safe environment for play while enforcing the rules.
I will respect my child’s coach. I recognize the importance of volunteer coaches and understand that coaches are important for the development of my child and the league.
If I am coaching my child’s team, I will treat all children equally and fair. I will ensure all players receive equal playing time and the opportunity to play, and establish a fun atmosphere. As a volunteer coach, I will never make a child feel defeated based on the outcome of a game or by his/her performance.
I will remember that The Community House leagues are played for fun and the development of young athletes. The league is intended for the success of youth, not the adults.
